Tatjana Meirelles is a filmmaker and photographer based in Cape Town, South Africa.

After studying film at UCT, she spent ten years working in the TV commercials industry as a creative researcher and editor. She started freelancing in 2013, working for both local and international clients as a stills photographer and film director.

Highlights include cinematography awards for her Fashion Film, Sopopular X ; nominations for her film Monte Cavalo Stud as well as the opportunity to present a five-screen video installation during the Venice Biennale of Architecture. In 2020 a documentary feature co-directed with Dugald Macdonald Premiered at the Encounters Documentary Film Festival.

In both her personal and commercial projects, she balances storytelling with a bold visual style: her work often centered on human interactions with landscape and architectural forms.
